The New EEO-1 Component 2 Report Is Due September 30

The new EEO-1 Component 2 reports are due on September 30, 2019. The EEO-1 Component 2 reports require employers to submit summary employee pay and work-time data.

The pay data will be summarized into the existing ten EEO-1 Job Categories.  This will result in commingling the pay of employees who are in very different pay ranges.  For example, the pay data of senior technical professionals will be combined with junior administrative professionals, and the pay data of technical managers will be combined with service worker managers.  In addition, the pay data will not be qualified based on education, experience, or performance differences between employees.  So the value of this data is limited.  Nonetheless, some external organizations may try to use the data to make judgements about pay equity.

Auxillium West has created a module to generate the required data for Component 2, including historical data (going back to 2017).  Contact Auxillium West support to receive the module.  It is free to clients with an existing HRSource support agreement.  For more information, go to  https://eeoccomp2.norc.org/info.html
